Where do I book my room for the wedding?

www.redweek.com *It is normal for redweek to charge a "membership fee" before you book your rooms for your stay.

Why am I booking my room through redweek.com instead of directly through the resort website?

Answer

We have used redweek.com to book our resort rooms for the past 10 years. The rates for the wedding rooms will be at a lower cost through redweek.com. You have the option to book your rooms through the wedding resort website. It is just a recommendation to book your room through redweek.com.

If I am going to attend Cirque Du Solei, Xcarat Adventure Park or Xplor Adventure Park, how soon should I book/reserve these tickets?

Answer

It is recommended to reserve tickets for these events a few months in advanced, as they will book quickly. Normally, we book these tickets 2-3 months before the vacation date to ensure the tickets will not be sold out. Keep in mind the week we are traveling is a busy week for tourists.

Why can't children attend the wedding?

We are kindly asking for a child-free event. Thank you for respecting our wishes and requests.

What attire do I wear for the beach ceremony and for the outdoor reception?

Answer

Please dress comfortably, as the attire is not formal, nor black-tie. Women can wear dresses, but please no white or red! Please select beach colors, and keep in mind it is very humid outdoors at this destination. Men can wear slacks, pants, button-up shirts. Dress comfortably and for the humidity. Shoes are optional*

What time is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception times will be listed on the invitation mailed to you. The ceremony will be a beach ceremony in the morning. Afterwards, we will immediately attend the cocktail hour with hors d'oeurves. In the evening, we will reconvene for the outdoor reception. There will be about a 5 hour break in between the ceremony and reception. The reception location will be different from the ceremony. Both locations will be listed on your wedding invitation.

What is the agenda for the week of the wedding?

Answer

We will deliver the weekly agenda for the wedding week to you upon arrival at the resort. You will have the days outside of the wedding date to explore the resort and schedule your activities. The bride and groom are requesting alone time Sunday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

How much will the taxi ride from the airport to the resort cost?

Answer

Please have $100-$120 prepared for your taxi ride from the airport directly to the resort, and an additional tip ready to. You may ride with up to 10 guests in each of the taxi shuttle vans. The taxi drivers accept CASH ONLY, no credit card or debit card for payment. Prices may vary.

Upon departure from the resort, how do I schedule my taxi shuttle to the airport?

Answer

Please be sure to contact one of the resort staff at the concierge desk in your unit to let them know in advance the time and date you will be checking out, so they may schedule your taxi shuttle to the airport. I usually let them know the day before departure.

Can I pay for my stay at the resort with Credit Card?

Answer

Yes, most credit cards are excepted by the resort. Keep in mind if you share a room with friends, or guests, the receipt for the stay will NOT list what each individual guest spent. It is up to you and your friends or guests to delegate how to split up the check-out bill.

How will the resort charge us for activities/restaurant visits?

Answer

The resort will ask for your room number for ALL activities, and breakfasts, lunch, dinners (all purchases). The fee will be charged to your room. At the end of your stay and during check-out, you will see the total cost of your stay. This can be paid with a credit card or debit card.

Can I invite additional guests to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

No, please do not invite uninvited guests to the ceremony and reception. Uninvited guests can stay with you at the resort, as this is a vacation trip. However, we have an allotted number of seats for the ceremony and reception that we have agreed upon with the wedding planner. Thank you for respecting our wishes.
