Liz and Eric met at a house party freshmen year of high school. Liz knew right away that she had a crush on the quiet kid in the Slim Shady hoodie and sideways hat. Through high school Liz and Eric went back and forth between being friends and more than friends. They always cared a lot about each other and always knew there was just something about the other. They stayed friends through college, with occasional on and off romance. But eventually their paths lead them in different directions and they lost touch for a couple of years. Fortunately, Eric ran into Will (groomsman) who suggested they all get together and catch up. And on the 4th of July in the summer of 2019, Eric met Liz and Will out at Fortina. Eric and Liz ended up talking every day after that and finally figured out they were meant to be all along. Since being together as adults, Liz and Eric have stood by each other during difficult times and have celebrated each other with every accomplishment. They truly feel the other is their best friend and partner through life's adventures. Fall is Liz's favorite time of year. So on October 12, 2022 Liz and Eric planned to head to the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze. Eric had the intention of popping the question there but let his nerves get the better of him (thinking it might be too dark or too crowded). Instead, he surprised her down on one knee in the kitchen of their apartment. The answer was YES and then they headed to the blaze to celebrate!
