Tiempo después, justo antes de que Lupita regresara a México, comenzaron a salir y se hicieron novios. Lupita regresó a México y comenzaron su relación a larga distancia. Estuvieron dos años de novios hasta que Andrew supo que Lupita era la mujer con la que quería pasar el resto de su vida y le propuso matrimonio en Oaxaca, México un 15 de julio de 2021.
