Her Version: It's a classic story of a boy who sees girl in a local restaurant/bar. We had a great time that night, and I went home that night and told my friend, "I just met the man I'm going to marry." His Version: We met at Ojos Locos Sports Cantina on a Cinco de Mayo through a mutual friend. Boy lost his "Chancla" dancing. I knew she was the ONE when she held onto me so I wouldn't fall. We didn't exchange numbers but connected through Facebook. I had to message her because she took my credit card home that night. She insists it was an accident, I think it was planned.
Her Version: After meeting each other we didn't actually see each other until after 3 months. Alex was always out-of-town. I can't really remember what our 1st date was. I think we went to the park for a run. One thing I can say, a connection and attraction existed from the beginning and we never grew tired of learning more about each other. Every time I remember our 1st date- I remember how contagious and attractive his smile was. His Version: My 1st date was awesome. I had been sick for weeks and Lupita met me at the park to bring me medication. I finally found the ONE that can run 5 miles with me nonstop.
What seemed like just another weekend getaway to Las Vegas actually turned out to be life changing. The proposal happened 4th of July weekend 2019. And important to note, nothing happens as planned in Las Vegas. The day started with feeling nausea in a hot air balloon ride, passing out at Tiffany & Co after buying her engagement ring, enjoying a flavorful dinner at Gordon's Ramsay's Hell Kitchen, and a wonderful show at Cesars Palace. The proposal finally happened in front of the Bellagio Fountains. After so many smiles and emotions you can all guess she said "I do."
