Maxim messaged Megan first, thinking she was cute and had similar interests, specifically an appreciation for 2000's emo music. Their First Date was October 17, 2020 - enjoying a couple of beers at Buzzbomb Brewing in Springfield (outside, because of Covid). They bonded over their shared experiences growing up in the area, memories of a surprising amount of mutual friends and acquaintances, and plenty of laughs. Megan and Maxim have supported each other through many trials and experiences, like Megan getting her Master's degree and Maxim caring for his grandfather. No matter how busy they both were, they were sure to always make time for one another. They enjoy going to concerts, watching horror movies, and engaging in general nonsense. Maxim proposed on January 6, 2024 at Washington Park in Springfield. They returned to a special spot from an early date, popping the question surrounded by a beautiful winter landscape.
