The day after Christmas, two friends brought together a group of people for what turned out to be a bar crawl that changed the lives of two people. Matt will deny being the first one to make a move, but Samm won't deny asking Matt, "are we gonna kiss or what?" After that day, Samm played hard to get. Matt shamelessly double-texted her for her attention (after some not-so-gentle encouragement from Arceri), and then they went on their first date. Matt had Samm meeting his father two weeks after their first date, and then right after that he was clearing out drawers and making room in his closet for her. In the last half of 2022 Matt got a house, a dog, and a girlfriend- what a year for him! The story of Matt and Samm is that the best things come when you aren't looking for them. When you're living your life the way you want to and suddenly, you meet someone and it all... shifts into place. It was the moment two soulmates were meant to meet and be with each other. It happened when and how it was supposed to. It was magic, serendipity, fate, or whatever you want to call it. We live together with our dog, Lucia. We joke about how we are always busy, and are so happy to have a life full of family and friends we celebrate and spend time with. We love the moments we get to sit on the couch and rot, and we love the nights where we get to go out and dance.
