Maid of Honor
Claire is Grace's sister and a co-maid of honor. Claire is 17 months younger than Grace but has been taller than her for many years. Claire lives in Westfield, Indiana (an Indianapolis suburb) with her husband, John, and their toddler son, Rory. She and John met in college at Ball State and married in 2018. Claire is a licensed social worker and therapist who enjoys running, biking, and going to breweries and coffee shops. She has run the Indianapolis Mini Marathon several times -- most recently in May of 2025.
Maid of Honor
Lucy is Grace's youngest sister and is a co-maid of honor. She works remotely as a grant writer and has mastered the remote worker travel lifestyle. She generally spends summers in southeast Alaska and winters in the Pacific Northwest. She usually works part-time on a fishing charter fishing boat in Alaska in the summers and as a ski instructor in the winters. She enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, and crafts (including sewing). In September of 2025, she did an 8-day 390-mile bikepacking trip in the Yukon with a few friends and made her own bike bags.
Best Woman
Paige is Kyle's sister and his "best person" for the wedding. Paige lives in the Denver area with her husband, Brendan. She works as a chemical engineer at Coors. Paige played soccer at Lehigh University and enjoys hiking, backpacking, and playing volleyball. She and Brendan host a Beer Olympics in their backyard every year.
Mother of the Groom
Jane lived in several different places growing up and met Brad in high school outside Atlanta. She is a proud Notre Dame alum and finance wizard. She enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, and exploring Colorado. She and Brad moved to Colorado a few years ago after both of their kids settled here. Her most recent international trips have been to New Zealand and Scotland, with an upcoming trip to Argentina and Chile in December 2025.
Father of the Groom
Brad moved several times growing up and finished high school near Atlanta, where he met Jane. He went to college at Rose Hulman and became a chemical engineer. His career took him all over the U.S. and to England for a few years when Kyle and Paige were young. He enjoys golf, disc golf, and traveling. After a trip to Scotland last summer, he was inspired to start a whisky club in his neighborhood.
Mother of the Bride
Suzi grew up in a small town in Indiana (Fowler, pop. 2000) and currently lives in Westfield, an Indianapolis suburb. With the exception of a short stint in San Francisco, she has lived in Indiana for most of her life. She met Steve at IU, and then they lived in Ft. Wayne for over 30 years before moving to Indianapolis. Suzi enjoys hosting parties and casual get-togethers, cooking, and reading. She also loves clothes and fashion, and for a while, she owned a clothing boutique. She watches her grandson Rory three days a week.
Father of the Bride
Steve grew up on a farm in southern Indiana with four older sisters. He was a high school basketball star. He spent most of his adult life in Ft. Wayne, Indiana but currently lives in Westfield, an Indianapolis suburb. He went to college at IU, where he met Suzi and had a nice side hustle scalping basketball tickets. He continues to be an avid IU basketball fan. Steve is semi-retired. He still has a toe in the scrap metal industry, and he also runs a grantwriting business with his daughter Lucy. Steve enjoys biking, traveling, playing bridge, and spending time with his grandson.
Grandmother of the bride
Mary is Grace's maternal grandmother. Between Kyle and Grace, she is the only living grandparent, and she's 99. She has 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Mary is a proud alum and former employee of Purdue University, where she held several roles over the years. Until the summer of 2025, she was still a part-time employee of Purdue, running continuing education programs. She has received the Sagamore of the Wabash award. She enjoys reading mysteries, watching Purdue basketball and football, and gardening. When Grace was growing up, Mary divided her grandchildren into small groups based on age and took them on trips to places like Abraham Lincoln's boyhood homes and Mackinac Island in Michigan. The whole family went on a trip to Mackinac Island to celebrate her 95th birthday, and she got to shoot off a cannon at the historical fort.
Bridesmaid
Eva and Grace met at The College of Wooster during their freshman year, way back in 2007. Eva grew up in Baltimore, lived in LA for a year after college, and then moved back to Baltimore. She works as a therapeutic musician with elderly people and as a youth director at a Presbyterian church. Eva enjoys singing, playing violin, thrift store shopping, reading, and watching movies. She has always been known for her eclectic style and was not offended when friends in college asked to shop in her closet for a Halloween costume.
Bridesmaid
Grace and Jenny met in their first year of law school (in 2017) and were surprised to find the many similarities in their less-than-linear paths to law school. They helped each other get through law school and found time for fun things like hikes and Zumba classes. Jenny grew up on a farm in Kansas and her family would often go to Colorado for backpacking trips. She lives in Denver with her husband, Jordan, and her toddler son, Felix. Jenny is an immigration lawyer who enjoys hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, and reading.
Bridesmaid
Grace and Apple met in 2012 while they were both living in Las Cruces, New Mexico. They both moved to Colorado around the same time. Apple grew up in China and moved to the U.S. when when she was 21. She lives in Ft. Collins, Colorado with her husband, Miguel, and their three daughters: 7-year-old Shyla and one-year-old twins Willow and Lucy. (3 kids, right?? She's still getting used to it herself.) She is a therapist in the student health center at CSU. She enjoys yoga, cooking, hiking, and sewing.
Bridesmaid
Grace and Kari met in the fall of 2009 while participating in the same study abroad program in Quito, Ecuador. (Kari and Emmy are twin sisters.) They have been friends ever since and have traveled in Europe together as well. Kari grew up in a Chicago suburb and currently lives in Durham, North Carolina. She works as a city planner/project manager for the town of Wake Forest. Kari enjoys traveling and speaking Spanish, and she teaches ESL classes as a volunteer.
Bridesmaid
Grace and Emmy met in the fall of 2009 while participating in the same study abroad program in Quito, Ecuador. (Emmy and Kari are twins.) They have been friends ever since and have traveled around Europe together. Emmy visited Grace when she lived in Mexico, and Grace visited Emmy when she lived in Guatemala. Emmy lives in Durham, North Carolina and works as a program manager for Global Education at UNC Chapel Hill. She also runs a small business selling textiles made by artisans in Guatemala. She enjoys traveling, speaking Spanish, and crafts.
Bridesmaid
Grace and Katie met in third grade and have been friends ever since. Katie (like Grace) has moved quite a bit in her adult life. She currently lives in LA and is a postdoctoral fellow in clinical neuropsychology at UCLA. In recent years, she and Grace have met up for camping trips in Utah, Colorado, and California. Katie enjoys hiking, kayaking, and skiing.
Groomsman
Ed and Kyle met in 2009 at CU Boulder. They were roommates for a while in college and also lived together for about 3-4 years before Kyle moved in with Grace. Ed was born in Chipping Sodbury, England. He lived there until age 9, when he and his family moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado. Ed is a high school teacher at a charter school that is focused on project-based learning. He enjoys running, creative writing, and hiking.
Groomsman
Kyle and Ian met in 2009 in college at CU Boulder. (Ian did not live in the engineering dorm but lived in the dorm next dorm.) Ian grew up in Denver and now lives in Louisville (just outside of Boulder) with his long-time girlfriend, Ariana. He works as a technical writer. He enjoys mountain biking, creative writing, hiking, and skiing.
Groomsman
Kyle met Jeremy in his freshman year of college at CU Boulder. They both lived in the engineering honors dorm. Jeremy is a chemical engineer in the oil and gas industry. He grew up in Ft Collins and now lives in the Denver area with his wife, Jackie, and their two-year-old daughter, Cora. Jeremy is a huge Denver sports fan and has season tickets for the Colorado Avalanche.
Groomsman
Kyle met Max his freshman year of college at CU Boulder. They both lived in the engineering honors dorm. Max grew up in Denver. He works for an international development nonprofit and frequently travels to several countries, including Ethiopia and Ghana. He lives in Denver with his girlfriend, Zoe. Max enjoys cooking, skiing, hiking, and backpacking.
Groomsman
Kyle met Stephen in high school at Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Stephen still lives in Chattanooga. He teaches guitar lessons and plays jazz and rock with local bands. Stephen enjoys hiking, spending time outside, and watching Alabama football.
