It's amazing that we had not met prior. In earlier years, Brian was playing in a band with my high school classmates, I was moving around and lots of changes were always happening. We each lived very different lives, had no intentions on falling in love, and were each becoming quite content in our feelings of being long term bachelor/bachelorette's. This was until, we met one another. I wasn't going to reach out to Brian first, that would be too bold. Brian wasn't going to message me, he was just about over the dating scene... Well, Brian did in fact message me. A date was made for a fall Saturday in November, but after chatting with this very charismatic and interesting guy, Saturday was just a bit too long of a wait. I asked Brian to meet me at a local bar where my friend's band was playing. All of my friends were going to be there, so they could scope out my new interest. Brian passed the tests with flying colors, and I boldly took the first move with the first kiss. The following week, I went over to Brian's to meet his parents first, and the next week Brian came to meet my parents. As Brian left my house, I walked him out to his car, and I knew this was special. I leaned in for the kiss and just said "Goodnight, Boyfriend" with a smile. A few months later, and Brian being a new living alone homeowner, Brian asked me to move in, which also meant taking in my crazy dog, and co-habitating Bullet with Tessa Belle. This was the best decision we ever made. Our love grew strong, and quick. We loved our chaotic, yet perfect to us, little family. Brian proposed to me in the presence of our closest friends, at our first annual Halloween party, and we're so excited to be planning a beautiful day to celebrate our love and growing family with you all! #LumosLaBarbera
