FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that you please RSVP by January 31st, 2026. Your timely response will be greatly appreciated.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The event is black tie, meaning formal attire is expected, but instead of only traditional tuxedos and formal gowns, we encourage guests to get creative with their outfits. Think of it as a chance to wear chic, elegant suits that aren't necessarily tuxedos and fun, extravagant dresses with vibrant pops of color. It's about dressing up, but with a more playful personal twist!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask guests arrive at the venue between 1:00 and 1:30. This will allow ample time for seating and ensure that the ceremony can begin promptly at 2:00 PM.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We kindly request that only the guests listed on the invitation attend or on the RSVP guest list, as this is a destination wedding with limited space. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate plus-ones or additional guests. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but due to the nature of our destination wedding, we have made the decision to keep the event adults only, with the exception of those in the wedding party. We appreciate your understanding and hope you can join us for this special day!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

All of the recommendations will be located in the travel section of our website. All of the recommendations given by the venue will be listed. This includes different hotel, Airbnb's and chateau rentals options located near the venue.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have a specific food allergy, please reach out and let us know. We will make sure to share the menu and check with our vendors.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are currently working on it.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We have the Chateau reserved from July 27th to July 30th, 2026. We will be hosting welcome drinks on the 27th, the wedding will take place on July 28th and a pool day will be on July 29th, 2026.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your love and presence at our wedding means the world to us! We're not registered anywhere, but for those who wish to give a gift, we've created a honeymoon fund through Zola to help us celebrate our first adventure as husband and wife. Absolutely no pressure - we're just so excited to celebrate with all of you!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather in France during July typically ranged from 77 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit, as it is usually the warmest month of the year. The highest temperatures are typically experienced between 5 PM and 7 PM on a typical summer day.

Question

How should I get to the chateau?

Answer

We are currently working on it! If there is no shuttle transportation, getting there by car is the best option.

Question

Who should I contact if I have questions about the wedding?

Answer

If there are any questions that are not on our FAQ's, please reach out to Jane or Robbie. We are happy to help!

Question

Where is the ceremony and events following?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at Chateau La Durantie, located in the southwest of France. All wedding related events will be held at this venue.

Question

Are photos allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that iPhone photos not be taken during the ceremony to ensure a seamless experience for all. However, photos are welcome afterward, and we encourage you to capture the memories!
