Canal lined with walking paths & outdoor murals, plus boat trips to the Mexican History Museum.
A cool area in the heart of Monterrey with bars, coffee shops, and restaurants. It's a nice place to walk around and bar hop during the day. It's is where one of our recommended restaurants, Madre Oaxaca, is located so keep that in mind. :)
Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma is a major brewery based in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. It was the first large brewery in Mexico and was founded in 1890. It is a subsidiary of Heineken International. They make XX, Tecate, Indio, Sol, Bohemia, and others! The building is beautiful and it is definitely a fun experience. Also, the tour is free, but you need to book ahead of time so that they can schedule you in.
This is our absolute favorite restaurant in Monterrey. It serves authentic food from Oaxaca, Mexico. Make sure to try the Mole sampler (Degustacion de Moles).
This is another of our absolute favorite places. It puts a creative spin on traditional Mexican food such as steak, seafood, and tacos. They also offer homemade salsas which you can create yourself.
