We will provide transportation for all guests to & from the wedding. There will be one central pickup location in the City Center. Please check back for updates.
Flight
The closest airport to fly into and allows you to skip train travel (about a 15-20 minute ride from the city center and costs around 20 euros). Keep in mind that it's hard to find a direct flight from the US - so you will most likely have a layover. It is also possible to fly into Rome (FCO), or Milan (MXP) and travel to Florence via train or bus relatively easily. We usually find good prices using Skyscanner.com for international flights!
Flight
Flying into Rome is easier and there are usually more flight options! We also suggest flying into Rome if you are traveling to the Amalfi Coast or anywhere further south during your stay. The fastest way to get from Rome to Florence is by taking a high-speed train from Roma Termini station into Florence Santa Maria Novella Station. The fast trains take 1.5 hours to get from central Rome to central Florence and depart every 20-30 minutes all day from about 6am-9pm. Taking the train is very scenic, easy, and affordable! We usually find great flight prices using Skyscanner.com for international flights!
House Or Rental
Florence is full of great Airbnbs, so we invite you to browse these options and "live like a local" for your time in town. We highly recommend the Santo Spirito neighborhood - a local artisanal neighborhood with great energy and authentic restaurants, just five minutes walking from the bustling city center. The neighborhood around the Duomo is also gorgeous! Areas to avoid would be Piazza Indipendenza and Via dei Benci.
