FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Please dress up in some cocktail/summer formal attire. For men, this usually means a suit, or dress pants and a shirt and tie. For the ladies, this means a nice dress of any length! Please no sundresses, no jeans/denim, and avoid shades of white!

Question

Can I bring a guest or date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, it will appear under your name when you RSVP. That being said, anyone is welcome to come for just the ceremony part of the day! Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited to the reception. That being said, anyone and everyone is welcome to come to the ceremony!!

Question

When do we need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 19th, using the RSVP tab in the menu (after invitations are sent out!). If you do not RSVP in time, we will assume that you are unable to attend.

Question

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 3:30 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in St. Paul. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to allow time for parking and finding your seat.

Question

Where do I park for both the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The church for the ceremony has a free parking lot. Please park in the main lot, and go through the 4 doors on the side to get into the church. After the ceremony, please head directly from the church to Abulae, where our reception will be held immediately following. Abulae is located on the corner of 6th Street & Wall Street. To access the building, enter through the parking ramp on 6th Street and take the elevator up to the 6th floor. Parking is 8 dollars. The cocktail hour will begin at 4:30, and cars can stay in the parking ramp as long as needed. If you are taking the shuttle at the end of the night back to the hotel, cars can be picked up the next morning.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Since our ceremony is in a Catholic church, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everybody to be fully present with us, and our photographer will be able to capture the best pictures which we will share with you. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you would like - and don't forget to share them with us!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will be having an open bar for beer and wine from 4:30pm - 10:30pm. Spirits will be available for purchase, and the bar will turn into a cash bar after 10:30. For this reason, we encourage you to leave cars in the ramp and uber home or use the shuttle to get to the hotel. Please make sure you have a way to get home safely.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is inside of the church, and the reception will be indoors at Abulae. Cocktail hour will be outdoors on the rooftop at Abulae, weather permitting.
