We’re getting married!

Luke and Celia met when they were just fifteen years old in high school. Luke was a sophomore and Celia was a freshman. Celia was new to Trinity Christian School and Luke saw her in chapel one day. He began asking around for her name as he knew he wanted to get to know her. After asking around, he got in touch with her shortly days after and they began talking in February of 2018. They began to date April 27th, 2018. One of Celia’s favorite things about him and that made her say yes to going on a date was his funny personality and ability to make her laugh uncontrollably. If you have spent time with the two of them, you know how much Luke makes Celia laugh and lights up the room. From there, they went through high school together while traveling when they could. New Smyrna Beach is a second home to them as they spent weeks there together during Covid and continue to go there every summer and often during holidays. Luke taught Celia how to surf there and is now one of their favorite hobby’s to do together. Luke played varsity baseball and Celia played varsity soccer. They loved attending each others games and cheering eachother on. Luke graduated in spring of 2020 and went to pursue a degree in welding close to home. In the spring of 2021, Celia graduated and the two traveled to Colorado to celebrate where they went horseback riding, hiked, white water rafted, zip lined, and more. They began long distance in August of 2021 when Celia attended college in Jacksonville, Florida to pursue a degree in finance. However, that never stopped them. They traveled back and forth between Florida and Georgia to visit whenever they could on the weekends. The distance grew them closer as they were able to grow individually and discover who they were while still seeing eachother on some weekends and holidays. Attending country concerts was one of their favorite things to do during the weekends they were together. Celia graduated in the summer of 2024 with her degree in finance and moved back to Georgia where she works in corporate financial planning and analysis. The two spent the summer together celebrating the end of long distance. Faith, families, and life goals were talked about between them and throughout the years and it was clear how compatible the two were. They always knew it was going to be them in the end. They traveled to New Smyrna Beach on Labor Day weekend as a fun weekend trip with Luke’s family. Little did Celia know, this was going to be one of the best weekends of her life. On September 1, 2024, Luke proposed on the beach during sunset to Celia. He tricked her into dressing up for a “fancy dinner” and walked her down to the beach where there were flowers and a hidden photographer! Obviously she said YES! The two are beyond excited to start their lives together and eagerly awaiting July 18th, 2025!
