How do you get to Ios?

By Ferry - we have put info on the Travel page but recommend doing your own research to decide which island you want to get the ferry from.

How long does the ferry take to get to Ios?

Answer

This completely depends which destination you've flown into. Ferry can be anything from 40 minutes if travelling from Santorini, or 4-7 hours if travelling from Athens.

What website can we use to book the ferry and how much will it cost?

Answer

We have linked some ferry websites. It depends on your departure island and also the service you choose. A rough estimate £80-£100 per person including there and back.

Do we need to have a stayover before getting the ferry to Ios?

Answer

We recommend staying at least one night at your arrival island before catching the ferry to Ios, to ensure your travel plans align with ferry schedules. This also gives you a chance to explore a bit before moving on. The same goes for your return—if your flight home isn’t late in the day, consider spending the night before in your departure city.

Is there transportation for guests?

Answer

Yes, we’ve arranged for 'My Ios Transfer' to pick up all guests from their accommodations and take them to the ceremony. They’ll also provide transportation to the reception, which is just a short drive away. We will also provide transport back to your accommodations after the wedding. This will be between 1.30am-2am, we will confirm. There are limited buses and taxis late at night so if you wish to leave earlier then you may have to try and plan your own transport or walk.

Will there be an open bar?

For 3 hours yes! There will be welcome drinks, wine & beer during dinner and then 3 hours of open bar.

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

Yes, both the ceremony and reception will be outside. Ios can be a little windy so you may want to bring a little cardigan for the evening.

Guests to arrive at 5pm for the ceremony to start at 5.30pm.
