Proposal

Why black berry bushes?

Father’s Day last year I (Trinity) went over to Luke’s new house. He and his siblings had recently moved in and I had noticed that they had HUGE blackberry bushes at the perimeter of their property. Well me being from the country I’m already out there, barefoot, eating and picking blackberries. Luke comes out the door and yells jokingly “TRINITY DON’T YOU BE PICKIN THEM BLACKBERRIES THEY AIN’T RIPE YET!” I turn around with the biggest handful of blackberries and the biggest smile on my face looking at him. As this happens, Luke hears the Holy Spirit whisper to him “that’s your wife” and that is why he proposed by the blackberry bushes. He never told me that until the day he proposed.

How we met

The didgeridoo

My dad, my brother, Luke, and me (Trinity) went out for lunch after church. I had recently just gotten out of a relationship 6-8 months prior. Currently at this point in mine and his life the Lord is growing us in our personal lives. Everyone is having conversation at the table except me. I was closed off, didn’t want to hear it, and no engagement. Completely shut off and shut down because I kept feeling Lukes gaze. I wasn’t having it. Luke then begins to talk about some of the instruments he had and brings up about how he had a didgeridoo. My entire being lights up in excitement because I love interesting instruments. We talk about the didgeridoo for a short 5 minutes or so and Luke tries to have conversation with me again about something else and again I shut down. That’s how we met lol.
