This is our reception location, but feel free to explore ahead of time! The Zoo is close to Tara's heart since interning there for three years in high school. It makes a good day trip, no matter the weather, with plenty to do indoors and outdoors. Our Zoo is a great activity for families or singles alike.
Soergel's is a great place to visit for an afternoon lunch and walk around. It's a farm property peppered in small shops for groceries, gifts, baked goods, and natural/organic needs. Seasonal fruit picking is available, as well as a small petting zoo of friendly farm animals.
Our Natural History Museum is paired with our Art Museum, so you can see both for the same cost of ticket. It's a beautiful space, great for adults and families to explore, and within walking range of many dining options.
Your spot for facials, bookstores, ice cream, and electronic mini golf! The Terminal is a great part of the Pittsburgh Strip to visit for a full night of adventure, with multiple food style and price options, extended activities, and cheap parking. Great for couples or families looking for a way to spend a half day. It's also within walking distance of the larger Strip District area for cultural shops and markets. Our personal favorites are PuttShack, Novo Asian Food Hall, and Posman Books.
We love Sewickley's Beaver Street and all it has to offer. There are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and unique shops to visit. Depending on the season, there are markets and festivals with visiting shop booths and food trucks. We love: Mediterra Cafe, Penguin Book Shop, Press House, and Three Dogs Bakery (yes, a doggy cake shop).
