We got engaged on the most perfect Sunday evening in December in downtown Indianapolis -- the city I grew up in, and where luke went to college and stayed in after graduating. Luke enlisted the help of his friend Amber who he used to go to church with, and she went above and beyond to make it the most special night for us!
Luke told me that we were getting dinner with some friends I hadn't met before, and we were going to meet at their apartment downtown. We were heading up the elevator and Luke said they were out on the roof-top and wanted us to come see the view. We were walking up the flight of stairs to access the roof and right before we got to the top, I thought 'What if this is it?!' and then immediately told myself to not get my hopes up. About 3 seconds later Luke opened the door to the roof and I saw the entire set up that Amber had brought and knew it was it!
