How We Met

First comes a martini, then comes marriage

Luke had just moved to town to help open Aurum Food and Wine. I was meeting my two best girlfriends at the bar to discuss the woes of my current relationship. I showed up late and as I approached my girlfriends sitting at the bar, one of them (Ashley) was giving me this look with a giant smirk on her face. All she said was, "wait for it". A second later, Luke came to get my drink order, and as Ashley loves to say, there were fireworks (using hand firework motions)... she had called it. I believe my first sentence to him was, "Well, you're obviously new to town." We were instantly like two young kids in a candy shop. I'm still not sure I've ever smiled so hard or so much. We continued to run into each other over the next month. During which time I became single and he began serving me too many martinis. We would sit for hours and come up with all these amazing plans and ideas for the future. He moved in with me 3 weeks later after slowly sneaking 1/2 of his things into my apartment :) I think it was within the first month of dating that he told me he was going to marry me... I guess sometimes you really do know when you know!

Our Engagement Story

Scavengerhunt of a lifetime

It was a late April day that started like any other day but ended much differently. Instead of going out to dinner as planned, Sara found an envelope waiting for her with her first clue. From the first place we laid eyes on each other on to the landmark moments and people of our past 3 years together. It ended at our home with prosecco, rose petals, candle light, tears of joy and love. Also a ring and a commitment to love you for the rest of our days on this planet!

For all the days along the way
