Meeting. Molly: Well, basically, we were friends and then more than friends. We met in high school in 2010. I was a senior with a quiet personality and no interest in getting to know many people (I was new to the school, and had major senioritis.) Luke was the fun and friendly popular kid. Since Luke and I were both involved in fall sports, we got to know each other little by little. By October, when we were both on the basketball teams, we had sparked up conversations during practices and started hanging out before games. When the season ended, our friend groups had merged and all the sudden this guy was my best friend. Everybody else knew it first, but we were an unmistakable match for each other. We started dating that summer, on July 12, 2011, and, as they say, the rest is history! Proposing. Luke: As many of you know, Molly and I have been dating since the summer of 2011. Once we realized that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, we mutually decided that we wanted to wait until I was done with college before we got married. After I graduated in early summer of 2017, I realized that the day we were looking forward to was finally within reach! I spent the first couple months of post-graduation trying to figure out how to manage full-time work, bills, and the other exciting parts of being an adult. But near the end of summer, I started thinking about when I wanted to propose. I didn’t have any great ideas right away but had been talking about it with Molly's sister Rachel, and one day I got a text from her with an idea of when to propose to Molly. She suggested that I propose on October 12th- the date of the 75th month from when we started dating (cheesy maybe, but it worked!) I took Rachel’s advice, then asked my friend and groomsman Jacob Lee to meet me at the spot for pictures. I proposed to Molly at the park where we shared our first kiss back in 2011- that one was my idea. The night went perfectly, and it was the best night of my life so far!
