Meghan was minding her own business with her friends, Lauren and Ellen, at a bar called "Losers" when Luke, after striking out with a nearby 40 year old, tried his luck in picking up Meghan. New to town, he surrounded himself with friends that had just graduated college, so after reviewing his credentials and confirming he was of legal drinking age, Meghan let him hang around. And he's been hanging around since.
When Luke first moved to Nashville there was a lot of change going on in his life. He really wasn't looking for anything else to toss into the mix, but then February 29, 2020 happened. The music leaving the open walls of Losers Bar & Grill called to him like a Siren, and sure enough when he entered the door within the first 20 feet there danced Meghan. And no, Luke was not paying any attention to anyone else in that bar, including the friends he came in with because his sole focus became Meghan the second he saw her. Yes, she was minding her own business, but like any good sales person would, Luke took his first shot. They danced to the end of Copperhead Road and the night ended with a good night kiss. A nightcap was offered by Luke (more than once) but appropriately denied (more than once) by Meghan (she had to get home to Moose at some point soon). On his walk home Luke made a pit stop at Two Boots pizza and while waiting in line for his slices he felt his phone buzz. A 516 number popped up on his screen and it was Meghan saying she wished he hadn't left yet because they apparently weren't leaving as soon as she thought. Luke smiled and typed out his reply, grabbed his pizza, and walked home with the same smile he had from the moment he started dancing with Meghan. Exactly 4-years later on February 29, 2024, Luke got down on one knee and asked Meghan to marry him. Here we are now, and you know where they'll be on May 31, 2025!
