Kailea and Luke’s story began on an online dating app, Tinder. Luke recently graduated from college and Kailea was in her last year of college. Luke persistently messaged Kailea and she wasn’t answering because she was cautiously optimistic about the online dating app. Then one night many months later, Kailea’s friends took her phone and messaged Luke off of it. This sparked consistent communication between the two. Eventually, Luke asked Kailea to go out to dinner then a walk for their first date. After it lasted hours, they knew they had found something special! They started going out on more dates and decided to make their relationship official in February 2019. Luke and Kailea did long-distance for the first three years where they’d visit each other, talk on the phone, and have dinner dates over FaceTime! This allowed them to grow as individuals and deepen their bond. Through a combined love for going to church, trying new restaurants, and cooking together, they became one another’s go-to person navigating life hand in hand! They ended up missing each other so much that Luke decided to change his job and move to Tampa to build a life with Kailea. A couple years later, Luke took Kailea to the Tampa Riverwalk where they had their first date and he got down on one knee and proposed in December 2023.
