FAQs

Question

What about COVID?

Answer

We are hopeful that by November 2021, most of the world will be COVID-19 vaccinated and that there will be less restrictions for large gatherings. Luke and I plan to stay up-to-date on state and county guidelines as they change and will update everyone closer to our wedding date.

Question

What is an “Adult’s Only Reception?”

Answer

Luke and I love kids, don’t get us wrong, but we politely request no children at the reception. Only children of immediate family and those in the wedding party will be in attendance. We want our guests, especially the parents, to enjoy a night off without the worry of little eyes and ears.

Question

Will there be transportation to and from the reception venue?

Answer

Yes! Luke and I want everyone to enjoy themselves at our reception and not have to worry about driving afterwards. Although the reception venue is less than 1 mile from the hotel, we plan on having a shuttle for guests to the reception venue and back at specific times. We will update the shuttle schedule closer to our wedding date.

Question

What if I have a food allergy or restriction?

Answer

Please feel free to reach out to myself or Luke, or mark on your RSVP card if you require any food restrictions or have food allergies. We will try our best to accommodate all of our guests.

Question

What is there to do in Marion, IL?

Answer

Marion, IL and Southern Illinois in general have great wine trails, amazing parks for hiking, and several restaurants. If you plan to make it a weekend trip, please look at the tab listed "Things To Do" to see some ideas. There won't be but 2 short hours between when the ceremony ends and when cocktail hour begins, so feel free to freshen up at the hotel, take a quick drive through beautiful wine trails, or grab a drink at one of the restaurants listed.
