FAQs

Question

I lost my invite, when is the wedding again?

Answer

The big day is Saturday, July 11, 2026. Doors open at 3:00pm, with the ceremony starting at 3:30pm.

Question

How and when do I let you know that I am coming?

Answer

You can let either of us know if you're able to join us via SMS, face-to-face, or carrier pigeon, not later then 1 June 2026.

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

Brisbane Powerhouse does have paid parking available onsite, however it is limited. There is also street parking available in the surrounding area, but this too can be tight. We'd recommended alternative transport if possible.

Question

I'm lost, where do I go?

Answer

Haha, the venue is Brisbane Powerhouse, New Farm. Go through the main doors into the foyer, and make your way to the elevator straight ahead. Ride that up to the top floor and make your way to the Riverbend Terrace. We'll have signage from there.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love all our little friends, and understand that you'd love to bring them. Unfortunately, in this case, our venue is quite intimate, so only the people listed on your invitation will be able to join us.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal, but please don't think "stuffy and conservative" formal! We'd love everyone to wear their true colours. Hot pink, neon orange, and vivid red are all welcome and encouraged!

Question

What is a formal dress code?

Answer

No judgement if you're not 100% sure what falls into the formal dress code. Traditionally, it's a two-piece suit and tie (bow tie or necktie are both good) or a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit.

Question

Hang on - I'm a visual learner?

Answer

Question

Where's your wedding registry?

Answer

You absolutely do not need to get us a gift. However, if you'd like to we'd appreciate a donation to our wishing well on the night.

Question

Is there a seating chart at the reception?

Answer

Absolutely! There will be a seating plan, so you don't have to be anxious about where to sit.

Question

What's the food situation?

Answer

A two course dinner will be served "family-style" during the reception, as well as hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. We will update this information when we know exactly what will be on offer. If you're reading this and thinking "oh no, I have an allergy and forgot to tell James and Luke", let us know as soon as possible so we can pass this along to the caterers.

Question

Cut to the chase, is there booze?

Answer

Luke is one of the grooms ... of course there is booze provided (until 10:00pm)!
