I really enjoy a good hike. Usually through the woods at some point, and then later up and through a winding mountain trail. I love to soak in the atmosphere, the tall ancient trees laced with green vines, the sharp and jagged rocks that have seen the sun rise enough times to sport a mossy beard. But probably just like you, I most enjoy reaching the mountain top. I love to stand there for a moment and soak in the view, reminiscing about the long trail that took me there. As I write this, I feel like I’ve just reached a point like that in my life. It’s like I can stand here and look back on the long winding pathway in the woods. I loved and enjoyed the pathway. I could feel the glory of God in and on the trail, but I didn’t always know where it was headed. I could feel him leading me on the trail, but now I can look back, and in a way it all makes sense. Being able to stand here now, staring into the face of the woman I love, I can see God’s face in it all. His handiwork on each tree, and his smile on each stone. Finding Ida has been the greatest adventure of my life, and I feel as if I’ve found the crown jewel at the end of the road. I cannot wait to begin my life arm in arm with this most incredible woman. -Luke
