Our Story

In the summer of 2024, we both attended Summer Beach Project in Panama City, Florida. Halfway through Project, we met at the prom social—both dressed up in full goth attire. The next day, we spent hours on the beach talking in front of everyone attending Project, sharing about our lives and stories. That night after our conversation on the beach, I taught Luke how to swing dance with a group of friends. After that, we didn’t talk for a couple of weeks. It wasn’t until the swing dance social that we reconnected when Luke asked me to dance. We spent the entire night dancing only with each other. In the midst of all the fun, Luke accidentally dropped me on my face… Later that night, everyone went to dance on the beach, but we decided to sit and talk for a while instead. Afterwards, we went to Sonic—where Luke proceeded to hit the bay with his car—so we ended up going to Taco Bell instead. The next morning while we were at work, he texted me asking to go on a date. I took five hours to respond, but eventually said “yes”! That Saturday, we went to La Crema in Rosemary, played putt-putt (he let me win), and then sat on the beach for hours talking. Our first date lasted seven hours! During the last two weeks of Beach Project, we continued going on dates, and two weeks after Project ended, we officially started dating at Jim ‘N Nick’s in Oxford, Alabama. We spent the next year long-distance until Luke moved to Birmingham this past June. Luke proposed on July 25th—it was one of the best days ever! We spent the day celebrating with our close friends and family. We are truly so blessed and thankful for all that the Lord has done! "The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness". Lamentations 3:22-23
