Our story begins in the small town of La Vernia, Texas, at the best social event in town - Friday Night Lights! It was there that our paths first crossed, and at the time, neither of us was looking for love. But sometimes, love finds you long before you even realize it. From there, we started talking as friends on Snapchat, and before long, that friendship turned into a mutual crush, eventually leading to us dating during Cassidy’s freshman year of high school. That year brought Luke his first kiss and the first hints of young love. But we still had a little growing up to do, and not long after, we unfortunately went our separate ways. After a year apart, our paths began crossing again. With our 7th period classes right next to each other, it was almost like God had thrown us back into each other’s lives. Before long, Luke reached out to Cassidy, and a friendship started again. Eventually, Luke’s junior prom rolled around, and despite a little friendly resistance from Cassidy’s dad, he found the courage to ask her to prom and win back the girl he had once let slip away. This time, he knew he couldn’t let her go again. From there, the rest is history. From cheering each other on at countless sporting events, to navigating COVID, graduating high school, surviving long distance, attending and graduating from Texas A&M, and beginning our careers side by side, we have truly grown up together. Through every high and every challenge, our love has remained steady, patient, and strong. What started under stadium lights as kids has grown into a lifelong promise. And now we get to begin our greatest chapter yet; the one we have been dreaming about for so long: becoming husband and wife.
