Maid of Honor
When Caitlyn pictured her future wedding, even when she didn't know who she would be marrying, she knew exactly who would be standing beside her. Harper and Caitlyn have been best friends since ninth grade when they were placed in the same 3rd period math class. Through the good times and the bad, Harper has stood by Caitlyn's side and been an unwavering source of support, love and laughter. Caitlyn is so happy to be back in Moose Jaw as she and Harper are able to see each other nearly every day - just like old times! The two even coached basketball together this season. Harper is a 6th grade teacher at King George in Moose Jaw.
Best Man
Evan is Luke's first cousin, but if you ask Luke, "brother" is a much better term to describe their relationship. They even lived next door to each other growing up. Evan has been a role model, true friend and confidant throughout Luke's life. He has stood by Luke's side through every joy and challenge quite literally since the day he was born and are even born on the same day. Luke and Caitlyn love spending time with Evan and his wife Jensen, whether it be their annual camping trip or a regular night in. Evan currently works as a pilot for Synergy Aviation in Edmonton.
Bridesmaid
Kelly and Caitlyn met in their first year of university. They walked to Murray Library together after Scott Napper's BMSC 200 class and hit it off instantly. That very day, Kelly said, "this might sound crazy, but would you want to come to my birthday party next week?" and the rest is history. Kelly has been a huge support to Caitlyn through school, orange theory fitness classes, (rec) volleyball games, work, and life in general. Dr. Huisman is a currently practicing at Sutherland Dental in Saskatoon.
Groomsman
Tom and Luke first met in 2015 during their first year of university playing football together. They quickly became great friends and even became roommates at 1213 Elliot Street. Tom has been a pillar of strength and support to Luke through all of life's challenges. Luke goes to Tom to talk about faith, family, and everything in between. Since graduating they aren't able to see each other nearly enough, but the time they spend together is always memorable. Tom is currently the CEO, CFO, and COO of Eidsvik Environmental in Lloydminster.
Bridesmaid
Taylor and Caitlyn first became friends when they were young at Buffalo Pound Lake where their families would spend the summers camping. You would often see the pair riding together on Caitlyn's blue bike with the basket holder that Caitlyn's Mom converted into a seat just for Taylor. When Taylor moved to Saskatoon for law school, Taylor and Caitlyn spent nearly every day together, studying, shopping, eating good food, and playing MarioKart. Taylor has been a huge support to Caitlyn through the years - she is truly the type of friend that drops everything if you need her. Taylor is currently an articling student for McCarthy Tetrault in Calgary.
Groomsman
Luke and Colton met when Colton joined the Huskies football team in 2016. Colton quickly befriended Luke and the rest of the boys. Since then they have played many rounds of golf, gone on road trips, and cruised around the Caribbean and Mexico together, all while making many memories along the way. Colton is a true gentleman whose kindness and compassion has touched the lives of those around him. His friendship has been a blessing in Luke's life. Colton currently works for Concorde group in produce sales and business development.
Bridesmaid
Olivia and Caitlyn first met in their second year of university when they were randomly paired together for a group project in a class of 200 students. The following year they had more classes together and quickly became inseparable. Caitlyn and Olivia share a love for ciders, pizza, football, and dogs. They finished their BSc and MD degrees side by side and Caitlyn does not know how she could have done it without Olivia. Olivia is currently finishing up the first year of her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program here in Saskatoon.
Groomsman
Luke and Ben first met during the summer of 2014 while playing team Saskatchewan Football together. They reconnected in 2015 during their first year on the Huskies. The two, along with many of the other groomsmen, would roam the streets of Saskatoon and enjoy the establishments in Sutherland. Their adventures eventually went global with cruises around the Caribbean and Mexico. Luke values Ben's humour and support and knows Ben will be a lifelong friend. Ben works for SIGA as a gaming, sport and product specialist.
Bridesmaid
Caitlyn and Gina met at a mixer for their medical school class and instantly hit it off. Gina has spent lots of time with Luke and Caitlyn, and the three even quarantined together at the start of COVID. As you can imagine, this has forged a lifelong bond. Gina is one of the most selfless and generous people you could ever meet. Gina made their numerous caffeinated/ procrastinated study sessions much more fun. Gina is finishing her first year of OBGYN residency at Dalhousie in Halifax. Even across the country Gina makes Caitlyn smile every day.
Groomsman
Eric and Luke's friendship has stood the test of time. They first became friends back in high school and have remained great friends through all of life's journeys. Eric met his partner, Harper (Caitlyn's Maid of Honour) through Luke and now lives with her in Moose Jaw. Luke has always admired Eric's ability to make light of any situation. Luke is grateful life has led them back to living in the same city again. Eric is currently working as a salesman at Moose Jaw Ford.
Bridesmaid
Maria and Caitlyn first met in their musical theatre class when they were 11 and 12 years old. They were instant friends and quite literally inseparable, as Maria could often be found being carried around on Caitlyn's back. Not much has changed over the years living in different cities. Maria has loved and supported every version of Caitlyn over the past 13 years unconditionally. Maria is currently working as a communications coordinator for Agriculture in the Classroom in Saskatoon.
Groomsman
Devyn is Caitlyn's little brother and over the years he has become a brother to Luke too. The pair spend lots of time together during camping trips to Buffalo pound and family gatherings. Devyn has taught Luke about working on vehicles and anything electrical. Luke has always admired Devyn's ability to party just as hard as he works. Devyn currently works as a farmer, used truck salesman, mechanic, and a square bale specialist.
Bridesmaid
Caitlyn met Amelia technically for the first time when Amelia sold her a Swell water bottle at Ambassador coffee shop. They became close friends when they started medical school. Caitlyn was drawn to Amelia's easygoing, caring, and loving personality. Amelia is finishing her first year of Dermatology residency at Dalhousie in Halifax.
Groomsman
Luke and Payton first met during the summer of 2014 while playing team Saskatchewan Football together. They reconnected during their first year on the Huskies in 2015. The two would grow to become very close during the ups and downs of football and university. In recent years Payton has taken on the unofficial role of "cruise dad" leading Luke and many of the other groomsmen on cruises around the Caribbean and most recently Mexico. Luke has always admired Payton's work ethic and intuition. Payton currently works for Ever Active schools in Montreal lake as a health and wellness consultant.
Bridesmaid
Maggie and Caitlyn first became friends on their Med School class trip to Mexico in 2019 while drinking numerous Purple Rains at the swim up bar. Since then they have travelled to multiple cities across the country together making countless memories (usually with the others of the group in tow). Maggie is fiercely loyal and would do anything for those close to her. Caitlyn can always count on Maggie for honesty, humour, and unwavering support. Maggie is finishing the first year of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency in Winnipeg.
Groomsman
Luke and Eric first met during the summer of 2014 while playing team Saskatchewan Football together. The two would later meet again in 2015 during their first year on the Huskies and picked up right where they left off. Over the years Eric has acquired many nicknames, the most notable being "Uncle Thak". Caitlyn and Luke hope Uncle Thak can make an appearance on their big day. Uncle Thak recently became Father Thak with the birth of his daughter. Luke has always admired Eric's free spirit and willingness to go with the flow. Eric currently works for RBC as a relationship manager.
Bridesmaid
Marley and Caitlyn first met in Medical school. The two initially bonded over a shared love of Huskie's football, as well as their shared affinity for men named Luke. Marley is the "Baba" of the group who always makes sure everything is going according to plan, is prepared for any situation, and is always ready to serve up comfort or advice over a snack she made. You can always count on Marley to laugh or cry with you. Caitlyn will also be a bridesmaid for Marley at her wedding on August 10th. Marley is finishing her first year of General Surgery residency in Saskatoon.
Groomsman
Luke and Lance first met during Luke's first year with the Huskies. However, the two grew closer when Luke moved back home to Prince Albert to teach at his old high school where Lance was already working as a teacher. The two even had an opportunity to coach football together at St. Mary. He is truly a one of a kind individual and a cherished friend. Lance loves to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping. Luke can only hope to camp as rough as Lance does some day.
Emcee
Thanks to the alphabet, Hye-Mi and Caitlyn were paired up as lab partners in 2016. They hit it off immediately and bonded through their similar senses of humour and inability to perform basic science. Hye-Mi and Luke hit it off too, and the three have made many memories over the years. Hye-Mi is Rosie's favourite babysitter. The couple can't think of a better person to host their wedding ceremony. Hye-Mi is a youth support worker for EGADZ in Saskatoon.
Emcee
Emily and Caitlyn met in med school and became close friends over the past few years. Emily is supportive, gives amazing advice, and will always have a joke or funny story ready to cheer you up. Emily is not only one of the funniest people Caitlyn and Luke know, but the kindest and most selfless. They are so happy Emily is one of the hosts of their reception. Emily is finishing her first year of Family Medicine residency in Saskatoon.
