We attended Friendswood High School together, a year apart. Brittany had her eyes on Luke the moment she first saw him walk into the high school athletic training room after Luke's cross country practice. She remembers asking for him to please sign in on the clipboard and then she casually peeked over to find out his name. Only to find out later on that Luke had also asked her high school best friend about Brittany that day. We never actually met each other through the rest of our high school years, just knew of each other. But in the words of Michael Scott, "I think we are one of those couples with a long story when people ask how we found each other". You could say we didn't actually "meet" until November 9, 2012 at a small get together at Woody's (Luke's best friend) house one evening. Brittany didn't expect to have an instant connection with the boy in cowboy boots and a cut off t-shirt who was already there playing guitar on the balcony when she arrived. We started dating a few months later when Luke got the courage to text Brittany out of the blue. That's when we had our first sushi date and haven't left each other's side since.
