What’s the Timeline?

Answer

Wedding events are all Friday May 8th at The Venue at Carley Brook in Honesdale (plan accordingly the typically drive time is 40-60min from the Scranton area) 💒The Ceremony begins promptly at 4pm (guest can arrive. 2:30-3:30 (no transportation available to the venue) the venue has a wagon to transport guests from the parking lot to ceremony site at the venue) last ride with the wedding party is 3:45pm when all guests should be in seats and wagon will be off after that. If late arrivals you may walk up the hill quietly or wait at cocktail hour. Ceremony should end and wagon will transport first back to cocktail hour. 🍸 Cocktail Hour -4:30 open-bar opens, lawn games ready to play, and cocktail food are ready to enjoy till 6pm. 🍽️ Reception doors open at 6pm and wedding party entrances are at 6:10. Dinner will be served after first dance around 6:25. Dance floor will be open after desserts and speeches around 7:30 🪩 so get you dancing feet ready! ✨ at 9:50pm guests will be arrange on patio for the newlyweds send off at 9:55 and the evening ends promptly at 10pm for cleanup. What time should I arrive?

Answer

Ceremony will start promptly at 4pm (no transportation to venue is available) final wagon at venue to get from parking lot to ceremony location will stop at 3:45 (for the wedding party themselves to be the last at the ceremony) so please arrive between 2:30-3:30pm. If you will be late, please wait at the cocktail hour patio for 4:30 cocktail hour (bar will be open at 4:30) and attend the reception at 6pm. Wagon rides may take time and we want everyone to have plenty of time.

What do I wear May 8th? What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask our guests to wear black to help us create a chic and unified look for our special day. Guests may wear anything from cocktail to formal all-black attire including slacks, button-ups, suits, dresses, or pant suits that fit the May weather! (Most events are outside (ceremony and cocktail hour if weather is nice) Men may wear a white or black undershirt but are asked to wear all black pants and shoes. Tie optional black only Ladies are encouraged to bring an extra pair of shoes to dance!

What is the kid and guest (plus one) Policy?

Answer

We are so happy to celebrate with our closest family and friends! On your RSVP, it will indicate who is in your party/invited. Children who are in the wedding party or closely related will be indicated and addressed by name on invites and will be indicated on the parents' RSVP if invited to attend. If any questions please feel free to message the Bride or Groom!

So am I responsible for my kids…

We are so excited to celebrate with about 25 of our closest families and friends kiddos! Adults… parents…. Thank you for making sure to have eyes on them at all times 😉 please remember that they need to be in your care throughout the whole evening to make sure the venue is respected and children are safe. Plan accordingly to help keep your kids entertained during ceremony and other events- there is not any kid materials provided as gifts fyi please feel free to bring coloring, or favorite engaging activities for ceremony and reception moments. All events end at promptly 10pm. We can’t wait to celebrate together! If any questions please ask the bride and groom 😁

Is there a shuttle from or to hotels?

Answer

No, there will not be a shuttle, so please plan accordingly to carpool and budget timing from where you are coming from.

Where should I park?

Answer

There are 2 lots that the Venue and their team will help direct you to! There is only 100 spots so please carpool.

Question

Can I leave my car?

Answer

No. There is a wedding first thing The next day do not leave cards drink responsibly and sober up by 9:30pm (when the bar closes) or come with a responsible driver.

What's for dinner?

Answer

We will have a buffet at the reception! Options of Chicken Francese and Beef Au Jus, as well as sides of mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, Caesar salad, and a mixed roasted vegetable. Kid-friendly, and all available as GF Options (including GF desserts)!

What is the weather plan?

Answer

The wedding will be in May, and rain is a possibility! Our venue has 2 spaces indoors that will be used for the ceremony if needed, and flipped during cocktail hour for the reception (but feel free to bring an umbrella if you feel you could need it on the patio areas)

Can I vape or smoke?

Answer

The venue does not allow vaping or smoking of any kind. Please leave at home- Thank you!

Ceremony photography?

Answer

The ceremony will be an "unplugged" event, but there will be a moment to take a picture when the officiant lets the guests know take them out and to put phones away. Thank you! (The photographer will capture everything!)
