Bridesmaid
From meeting as "clubbies" on a nice summer day at the grounds of Concordia College to eating pizzas at 2 am because we still had to finish our homework to going on Spring Break trips and even traveling to Europe, Amie has been there every step of the way. I am grateful to have such a caring, loyal, trustworthy, thoughtful, and adventurous friend—no matter how long it’s been since we last caught up, we can still pick up right where we left off with laughter and inside jokes. What stands out the most about Amie is her genuine heart: she has this unique way of making everyone feel seen and valued, no matter who they are. We've shared countless memories, from late-night talks that stretched until dawn to spontaneous adventures that left us with funny stories we still tell today. But it’s also the little moments—the quiet support when life gets tough, the encouragement during challenges, and the way they understand me without needing to say a word—that truly solidify our bond. Our friendship feels like home, a safe space to be fully myself, and no matter how much time passes, I know it will only grow stronger. I am grateful to be by her side on her most dreamed-of day! Thank you.

Amie and I met in college when she was a junior and I was a sophomore, and we became pretty much instant besties. We then roomed together the next year. From talking in authentic Russian accents to photographing our beloved rubber chicken Lloyd, to always quoting the most objectively hilarious shows of all time (i.e. SpongeBob, Caillou, New Girl, The Office), to rousing cribbage games (even without a board or proper pegs)...from going on a mission trip for a month together, to connecting through our faith in Jesus and crafting interests and similar struggles and passions...I'm just so grateful for her and for our wild & beautiful friendship 💜
