Visa Rules for Americans- The United States is on Australia's Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) list, which just means that its citizens can apply for an ETA online. The ETA is the visa you need if you're planning a short trip to Australia. The ETA is valid for 12 months, but you're only allowed to stay in the country for up to 90 days at a time. Applying for an ETA- You must be outside of Australia when you apply and already have a valid passport. Grab your passport before you start the ETA application because you'll need information from it. If you're traveling with family members, each of you must apply separately. You'll also have to provide credit card information to pay the application fee, which is around $15 US. Make a note of the confirmation number you're given. Click link below to begin application.
