Our Peeps

A huge thanks to the family and friends walking down the aisle with us

Grant Anderson

Groomsman

My older brother and oldest friend, Grant once tried to use the word "inspirating" in a sentence. That said, he's always found a way to communicate his love and care for me and I'm tremendously grateful for his faithful presence in my life.

Tram-Anh Cai

Bridesmaid

Tram walked through college at CU right by my side. Her love for dogs and others made us quick friends. She makes weird feel comfortable and makes laughing a form of communication. If I could be anywhere, I’d choose laughing down the aisles of King Soopers with Tram while singing "I feel it in my fingers... I feel it in my toes! Christmas is all around us and so the feeling growsss". (Love Actually, anyone?) Tram is a sista soulmate. Get to know her, she’ll rock your world.

Nils Anderson

Groomsman

I once (probably not just once) dismantled Nils so mercilessly while playing football in the front yard I think my dad still can’t believe he’s alive. I can’t believe he still likes hanging out with me. But after all these years he’s a tremendously loyal friend and he lends a listening ear whenever I need it (even though he admits he sometimes “forgets” to listen). He’s also now much faster than me which tends to work out well for him.

Haley Feten

Bridesmaid

One time I told Haley she couldn’t be the pink Powderpuff girl because I wanted to be the pink one. Somehow this lovely lady stuck with me. We have been ruffling feathers ever since--a force to be reckoned with. Often mixed up in high school because people were shocked that one could be a blonde, a female, and an academic. Haley is absolutely hilarious so soak it in when you meet her. (It should be noted Haley won “Best Personality” in High School. Lucky me teehee) Kindergarten to 23 and many more years coming our way!

Felipe Anderson

Groomsman

It took Felipe all of .3 nanoseconds from the time he moved to Minnesota to attain the level of Minnesota sports pessimism we all aspire to reach. That coupled with his uncanny predictive powers make watching a Vikings game with him uncomfortably grounded in reality. Despite his small dreams for Minnesota sports, he's got big dreams in life and a bigger heart for those he loves.

Morgan McQuain

Bridesmaid

Kickin’ tushy is Morgan’s pass time. She is a constant reminder of the power of passion, love, and dedication. We met my freshman year in Kappa Alpha Theta where she became my “big.” Morgan showed me the ropes in college and reminded me to have fun. We spent too much time chatting and laughing during lecture, but hey, we still got those Mech E degrees... Forever grateful for my big sis!

Jimmy Anderson

Groomsman

When Jimmy first moved to Minnesota from Colombia, his first move was to dive head first into a pile of snow and make a downward facing snow angel. He quickly realized there exists in the world a level of cold previously unbeknownst to him. He's been diving into life head first for as long as I've known him (excuse my cheesy transition), taking on challenges and hardships with courage and love.

Kaci Cessna

Bridesmaid

Kaci and I met at Eagle Lake the same summer I met Luke. We have bonded over many ridiculous stories and bad puns. (I have seen Kace pee off the side of a truck, and moments later she had the pleasure of listening to me squeal after I peed on my foot. All in the good fun of camp!) She seeks adventure and loves others well. Her free spirit reminds others of the joy we can live out of in Christ. Thanks for always making me feel known, dear friend:)

Jarrod Fuller

Groomsman

I felt a bit of pressure the first time I met Ali's big brother Jarrod. I now see the silliness in that feeling, as Jarrod is incredibly easy to get along with and wants to be friends with (I think) everyone he's ever met. He's also a hero of mine as he's currently in France learning to work as a dairy engineer, and despite my slight lactose intolerance I still get emotional thinking about cheese.

Savannah Boarman

Bridesmaid

Lucky for me, I met Sav early on in my life. Our moms would unknowingly put us in similar activities so our lives would collide, and the weirdness would soon follow. The friendship really took off when we started junior high together. On Fridays, Sav and I would compete in food challenges... we took on the cinnamon challenge way before it hit national news. Trendsetters? Most definitely. The weirdness only got weirder when we got to high school.... but more importantly, we stepped into a deep fellowship and grew with each other through the muck of our teenage years. Savannah is full of spunk and willingness to embrace freedom. She cares for people in the deepest parts of her soul. Much love to this chica.

Matt Sorensen

Groomsman

Matt and I met at the U of M but found out we were soul mates leading the Rocky Mountain Challenge program at Eagle Lake. Rumor has it he was born in the middle of the Wisconsin Northwoods with a McDouble in one hand and a glass of bourbon in the other. #prayformattsbloodpressure Matt is loyal, wise, intentional, and adventurous. He also doesn’t look bad with his shirt off, so ladies please submit your applications to me or Sean Upshaw.

Chloe Buckler

Bridesmaid

Chloe is literal Joy. We met in our later years of elementary school and have been sharing tears of all the sorts ever since. She loves humbly and reminds me of truth every time we talk. Not to mention we have more fun than most—and that’s an understatement. (Take a peak at that pic. Chloe and me taking names at a noodle-egg Battle Royale.) Endless love for this extraordinary lady.

Sean Upshaw

Groomsman

I first met Sean working at Eagle Lake, where at first he was just that guy from Florida who wasn’t keen on the altitude and cold. Sean is a tremendously caring friend who makes everyone around him feel valued. He enjoys long walks in the woods and longer naps, and has introduced me to all kinds of new ideas about life and the world. We once spent hours as a mediocre paint crew doing more chatting than painting, which may have something to do with the fact that soon there was “no more work for us to do...” whatever.

Alison Lynch

Bridesmaid

A1 and A2. The dynamic duo. Yes, we share a first name, and it is an absolute honor to share that name with Miss Alison Lynch. She cares for people like no other, and I have had the pleasure of her friendship since my freshman year of college. Alison loves adventure and trying new things so naturally, we love exploring together. With the perfect balance of fun and soul encouragements, I am more than thankful for her presence in my life.

Trey Anderson

Groomsman

When I was little, my parents tried to get me to clean my room by saying things like, “Trey ALWAYS cleans his room.” I just really liked my cousin Trey. Well I’ve seen his college dorm room, and know for a fact they were blowing smoke. Trey has a joyful presence and a kindness that draws crowds, and I’m so thrilled to have him stand with me for my wedding. I have so many absurd memories involving Trey, I couldn’t possibly recount them all here. Perhaps the most legendary, however, was the infamous “contract” we drafted and signed as pre-pubescent lads, vowing not to wear Hollister or cologne, and of course— not to date any girls.

Charis Spencer

Bridesmaid

Charis and I lived together while at CU, and mannnn it was such a blessing. She is full of life, empathy, and spicy dance moves. We both would admit that we are opposites in most ways. The beauty has arisen in the balance. She has helped me grow in forming opinions and speaking my mind (with kindness). She walks with grace and compassion and digs deep into her friendships. Love, love, love care-bear!

Kiana Anderson

Groomsmaid

Ali- Kiana is a delight and has been welcoming me into the Anderson family since day 1. She is quick to laugh and speak truth. I am beyond excited to be sistasss with Kiana. Luke- Kiana and I have been friends since way before she met my brother and her now husband Grant. In fact, they say it’s weird to invite an ex to your wedding, buuutttt I think this makes for an ok exception. Her recent child has me feeling mixed emotions, because on the one hand that baby is amazing and life is a miracle, but on the other hand she’s entirely eclipsed my brothers and me in my parents eyes. Oh well. Kiana is a crazy awesome friend and I know for a fact she wants to be friends with all of you so go meet her.
