FAQs

If you have any other questions that aren't cleared up below, feel free to reach out to us directly.
Question

Do I need to camp?

Answer

Absolutely not, but we'd LOVE if you joined! There will be a wide open grass field for us to pitch our tents on if you choose to join us. A detailed packing list will be posted 1 month prior to the big day.

Question

What's the food/booze situation?

Answer

Catering will be provided by culinary rock star establishment, Teote (veggie/vegan/GF friendly). We'll have self-serve beer and wine on site. A delicious breakfast spread (biscuits and gravy, GF granola, fruit, potatoes etc. ) and coffee will be provided in the morning for those who camp with us! It'll be a feast!

Question

Dress Code

Answer

Farm/Forest Fancy (up to your interpretation). Whatever makes you feel good and comfortable works for us! For footwear, we discourage wearing heels since we'll be outdoors on the grass. It can get a little dusty/dirty in some areas, so select shoes you that you feel comfortable wearing in that environment. Sunhats are welcome! Please avoid wearing strong perfumes, as that could attract yellow jackets.

Question

Will there be cellphone service?

Answer

No, we won't be in cell phone range, so plan to prepare your directions ahead of time. There will be signs along the way to guide you once you reach the main entrance road.

Question

Will there be bathrooms?

Answer

2 Rented Port-a-pottys will be on site - 1 ADA and 1 standard size

Question

Can I bring my pet alligator?

Answer

Sadly, no pets this time.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average early September afternoon temperature in Skamania is a lovely & sunny 67 degrees! It can get up to 85 on hotter days, so we recommend checking the local weather closer to the day for a more accurate reading. For those staying later and/or camping, it can get down to about 45 at night.

Question

Will the ceremony/dinner be shaded?

Answer

We expect there to be late afternoon sun shining on the ceremony, with shade coverage from the treeline gradually increasing during dinner & dancing. We will not have tents set up, but we WILL have parasols for folks to shade themselves with. Also, sun hats and the like are wonderful options. Bring 'em if you've got 'em!
