FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to have our loved ones dressed up for our big day! Dress code is formal attire. Ladies can wear floor-length, tea-length, or midi formal dresses. Gentlemen can wear suit & tie. We kindly ask that you avoid colours traditionally reserved for the bride: whites, ivories, and creams.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is enough of a gift! Given that we will be moving in September, we are trying to limit the amount things we are bringing with us! Should you wish to buy us something, we'd greatly appreciate a contribution towards our honeymoon (destination to be determined!).

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony begins at 5:00 P.M. sharp. We ask that you arrive and be in your seat NO LATER THAN 15 minutes before the ceremony starts. You may arrive earlier than 15 minutes, which will give you time to park and find a seat. If you arrive after the ceremony has already started, you will not be able to be seated.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, we really do! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged ceremony" (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we day "I do." We have hired an incredible team of professionals to capture this special moment for us, and we promise to share our photos and videos as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like...and don't forget to share them with us!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Absolutely! See our "Where to Stay" tab for more information.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Our wedding will be entirely pescatarian/vegetarian, and we will have lots of food! If you have specific dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know in the designated section of your digital RSVP. We want you to feel comfortable and well fed!

Question

Where do I request the type of meal I will be eating?

Answer

Great question! Our wedding will be restaurant style, meaning that you will be given the opportunity to choose your meal from a pre-designed menu (by us!) the night of the wedding. All meals will be vegetarian or pescatarian. If you have specific dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know when you RSVP!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you received a plus one, your guest's name is listed on your invitation and will appear under your name when you RSVP. Otherwise, we would love to keep our wedding as an intimate event with our family and close friends. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Is there anywhere for me to part?

Answer

Yes! Guests may park overnight in the Elora Mill parking lot (29 Ross Street, Elora Ont. N0B 1S0).
