Where is the wedding taking place on the Vanderkamp property?
Answer
The ceremony is taking place along the lake-side near the Frank cabin. Parking is available next to Kempwick (where the reception will be). Overflow parking is also available within walking distance. A golf cart is available to assist with transportation to the waterfront ceremony. https://vanderkampny.com/

Will there be bugs?
Answer
YES! The ceremony will be outside and the bugs will be visible. We will offer bug spray and advise that you bring some too.

What's the wedding dress code?
Answer
The dress code is semi-formal. We encourage women to wear cocktail or full-length dresses in fun, summer colors. Please keep in mind the ceremony is outside in the grass so choose your footwear accordingly. Men are encouraged to wear full suits with dress shoes. Jeans and polos are too casual for this special day. Ladies, please refrain from wearing any white dresses or a floral pattern with a white base.

Where should I stay?
Answer
There is no hotel block but there are nearby hotels in Brewerton, Altmar, Sylvan Beach, and other neighboring towns. I recommend booking an Air BnB or VRBO in one of the following small towns: Cleveland, Constantia, Central Square, Sylvan Beach.

What's the closest airport to the venue?
Answer
Syracuse International Airport is closest. The venue is about 45 minutes north of the city of Syracuse. We recommend renting a car or coordinating a ride from the airport. Albany and Rochester also have airports and are a 1.5 to 2.5 hour drive to Syracuse.

How do I RSVP to the wedding events?
Answer
All RSVPs are online on the RSVP page of this site. Please use your full name when searching for your group. If you're still having trouble, feel free to reach out to the Bride and Groom for help!

Can I bring a guest?
Answer
Due to limitations of the venue, only guests named on the wedding invitations are invited to the event. Thanks for your understanding!

Are children invited to the wedding?
Answer
Any children invited will be named on the wedding invitations. There will be babysitters on-site during the day's events to assist with nap time and to keep the little ones entertained. We'd love for you and your family to celebrate with us!
