At the time, neither of us could have imagined becoming close friends, but after sharing years in college together, especially through sharing Austria adventures and household, we've gotten very close. You can always rely on Daniel for a late night "do you ever think about...." that knocks your socks off. Ladies, he's only twenty and he's entering the masters program. He's ripped and he cooks.

Ben is my longest-term roommate and one of my closest buds over the past couple years. We traveled all over Europe together and have shared so many laughs. He and I have shared so many conversations as we try to navigate dating and college. We really think alike and process stuff in a similar way, which always makes me laugh. He's really seen me at my best and worst, ever since we met on a double-date! The first thing he ever said to me was "well.... I'm Ben.... I guess we should plan this double date, huh?"

Ohhhh my days. We've done a lot together lol. Emma is my bestie, and fellow Braves fan, who transferred to Franciscan with me after freshman year. She also work many many many many very long shifts with me at Chick-fil-a, and we became team leaders there together. During my gap year, if we weren't working we were hanging out with friends at coffee shops and parks. And just when we thought we would hardly see each other for four years........ Steubenville called us.

Dan. Oh Dan. He is such a genuine man who reflects the heart of Christ and the simple vigor and joy of being a man of God. After I joined household on campus, Dan became a mentor for me and has remained a close friend and mentor for the years after. One of my favorite things to do with Dan is to brush our teeth together.

Bestie had to really deal with the craziest time of my life, the nerdy 12-15 year old Tolkien fanatic. Somehow, she stuck around as I grew out of that and has been another one of my closest friends who has known me almost my whole life. And, of course, we also worked at Chick-fil-a together, and made it through the good and the bad together. She is such a role model to me, and will also always give me advise on makeup :)

My guy. Believe it or not, he's known me my whole life (minus one and a half years)! Josh and I have taken many adventures together. As we shared a room growing up, we have had many late night conversations, where he's given me a lot of advice and encouragement. For anyone who knows us, we've had a lot of tension and conflict as brothers often do. I'm grateful that despite this, we've still remained close. I know that Josh always has my back, and that he has my best interests at heart. Also, if he tells you that he's better than me at ping pong, don't believe him, it's not true.

Wow Crazy! I was her confirmation sponsor and now she's my bridesmaid!!!! Isabelle has been such a fun bestie for several years now. She is always so sassy and funny and so fashionable (literally could be a model). I was so sad leave her in GA when I came to college, but then she came to Franciscan too! Sheer joy. I look forward to making more memories with her both here in OH and wherever else life takes us.

It's been such a blessing to get to know Joseph as a result of dating MaryKate! He's a very caring brother of MaryKate, and he made an effort to get to know me as MaryKate and I neared engagement. As MaryKate's older brothers live farther away, I've really appreciated getting to know Joseph and feeling welcomed by him. If he's drinking milk at our wedding, we didn't provide it, he probably bought a couple gallons and brought them himself. Please don't judge too harshly.

WOW Crazy!!!!! I finally have a younger sister that I always wanted!!!! Maria has been such a joy to get to know over the past year. Coming into a new family in this way can be slightly intimidating, especially when Maria is so close to Luke. But she has been so welcoming to me. She always has something witty and fun to say and is so mature. I look forward to continuing our friendship as I become part of the family.

Matt, like Josh, has been around for as long as I can remember. From building Lego and homeschooling to working in a video studio together and sharing Franciscan as students, we've shared a lot of moments together. I really admire Matt's carefree spirit and kind heart. He always gives his full attention and interest to others, no matter what is going on in his life personally. When I told him that I was going to propose to MaryKate, I was touched by how excited he was for me. He even asked questions about her and about our relationship, caring about us and the step we were making. Matt fact: he's weirdly really skilled at really niche sports (spikeball, frisbee, ping pong, pickleball... like why?)

A long term high school friend, Blaise has witnessed so many of my big moments. Blaise and I started to spend a lot of time together my junior year of high school and shared many passions. Sleeping over and playing board games all night, taking Franciscan classes together, camping with our troop, and competing at speech and debate tournaments all have a special place in my heart. Specifically, as partners for a year doing speech and debate, we would discuss housing policies for over eight hours, pacing and listening to Naruto Bluebird as we researched. Though we chose to attend different colleges, we've remained close friends, and always make time for more board games and great conversations.
