Well, to say the least, our way of meeting each other was probably not the most conventional, but it sure turned out well... At the time of meeting, Marion was an Aupair, and Luke was one of the tennis pros at the Tennis Club of Trumbull. Marion had some time off during the children's school week and loved to play tennis with whoever would be willing to. Turns out, Luke's mom Isabel was one of those people. After Isabel and Marion had played a couple of times together, Isabel had made a conversation to Luke to see if he would like to play tennis with this "young, beautiful (even though that wasn't known at the time), French girl". Luke was not remotely interested. Until.... One early morning Luke had a tennis lesson at the club and was waiting on his student. Luke looked out onto the courts and spotted this gorgeous girl, in a red shirt and white shorts. Turns out Luke wasn't the only one to notice the other. As apparently Luke also caught Marion's eye. As Luke continued on with his tennis lesson (who was a good friend of Luke's from high school) Marion and Luke kept catching glimpses of each other. To the point where eventually Luke turned to his lesson and said "I think that's the girl Marion my mom has been telling me about, and she is gorgeous!" the lesson responded with "yeah yeah, but you don't have the game for her." Turns out Lukes lesson was partly right, as sadly, Luke left the club that day without Marion's number. But, he didn't stop thinking about her. He later on asked his mom who was also playing earlier, if the girl on the other court was Marion. To this she confusingly responded "yesss, why?" and well from there on out Luke began begging his mom to give him Marion's number to play tennis with her. Luckily, after weeks of convincing, Luke was able to get Marion's number and started to play tennis together. From the first time they played tennis together there was an instant connection. They constantly made each other laugh, and loved to compete, and make fun of one another. After a couple of times of playing with each other, Luke one day, asked Marion to go out to lunch after they played tennis. Marion gladly accepted and it went extremely well. Luke afterwards was still nervous that Marion wouldn't want to do it again, but the next day, as they finished playing tennis, Marion asked Luke if he wanted to do lunch again. This started to solidify Luke's thinking that maybe something other than a friendship could come out of this. After a couple more days of playing tennis, Luke who was also in flight school at the time. Invited Marion on a flight (otherwise known as there first date). Marion was the first non-family member (other than Luke's close friend Anthony, who is also a pilot) that had gone up with him. It was a beautiful sunset flight that ended with a little message from Luke hidden in one of the flight schools checklist. And from that day forward they haven't slowed down. 3 years, 8 months, and 12 days from their first date. They are now happily building their life together and looking to celebrate their marriage with you all.
