One upon a time…there was a princess by the name of Lindsay. She was embarking on a new journey at Bentley Systems. Little did she know Prince Charming was sitting just a couple rows over ready to sweep her off her feet by asking about a video game with the rapper 50 cent in it. Not everyone can have a pickup game quite like Luke. From then on, Luke & Lindsay were hooked. Whether it be date nights at Applebee’s or just hanging out watching Chopped. They did everything together and became best friends. Phillies games, going to the movies, beach trips to Delaware. You name it, they were doing it side by side and smiling the whole time. Luke and Lindsay did things a little backwards than the traditional ways … Prior to settling into their new place, they decided to add another best friend to the group. Queen Rylee entered their lives and gave them more opportunities to create memories together like road trips, ice cream dates and doggie cousin visits. Not too far into their relationship, COVID happened. The two were forced to work remotely in their new apartment together. This would be the real testament of how much they loved each other. Can they be together non-stop for 24 hours a day? The two did what almost every other family did during covid … got a COVID dog. The Sweet Boy Benjamin completed their family and Rylee couldn’t be happier for a puppy brother. They would go on to spend the early days of Covid training a puppy in an upstairs apartment, not the most ideal situation. As they began to outgrow that apartment, it was time for them to find their own little home. Fast forward two years later, while on a family getaway, Luke thought this would be the perfect opportunity to propose and ask Lindsay to continue their lives together as a family. Although, they did not foresee food poisoning throughout the whole house. (If you know, you know.) This was the first time for Luke and Lindsay both being away from the dogs, so Luke filmed multiple videos prior to leaving for vacation. The videos would just be short and sweet and hopefully help Lindsay miss the dogs less by getting glimpses of the pups. On the last night of vacation, they went for a walk on the beach, even though all Luke wanted was to go see a lighthouse. During the walk, Luke handed Lindsay his phone for the final dog video of the vacation. This time Luke is with the dogs and they are asking Lindsay to marry their dad. Even with the dogs not with us, they of course had to be incorporated in one of the most special times of their lives. This is just the beginning and cannot wait for the wedding and to see where life takes them.
