It started out as just another wonderful date together! Mini golf in the afternoon, with the intention for a formal stay-at-home dinner (as they hadn’t had a real date in forever). Little did Kimberly know, a beautiful candle-lit dinner was being set up while they were out, thanks to Luke’s mother, Susan. Upon their arrival, they headed straight to change into something more formal. While Kimberly finished getting ready, Luke left to pick up dinner from Carmine’s, their favorite Italian restaurant. Once Luke returned, he led Kimberly outside to the deck. She was met with candles lined up along the edges, and a beautiful sunset. They talked and ate their meal together, with music playing as the sun set deeper. Getting dark, the solar lights hanging from the umbrella above, turned on one by one. As they finished, a particular song came on, the Disney song I Lava You, and Luke got up and asked Kimberly to dance. By mid-song Luke knelt down on one knee, and Kimberly started to cry. Luke held up a box and opened it to reveal the ring, then asked, “Will you marry me?” … and of course, Kimberly said, “Yes!” They celebrated their engagement with champagne, and immediately let their families know the good news. It was a perfect day, that turned into a perfect night, both will never forget!
