We met at a swing dance party through our young adult ministry, Paradigm. We randomly sat next to each other while getting snacks and introduced ourselves. We ended up talking for 2 hours until it was time to leave, and ever since then the rest is history!

Luke picked me up in his truck and the first surprise was him having Chick-fil-A for us to eat. He then took me around Lee's Summit to places that have been highlight spots in our relationship. At these places we shared memories and laughed and enjoyed thinking back to all the fun memories created at these spots. After the last spot, Luke told me to close my eyes. He began driving to our final destination. On the way there, he started playing the song "2 Rocking Chairs" by Jon Bellion. Once Luke told me to open my eyes, we were at a beautiful spot at James A Reed park. The sun was setting and we were by water and it was perfect! There was a little set up close to the water with a rocking chair. Not just any rocking chair...one that Luke had built! I was so shocked and in awe at this amazing chair! I cant wait to grow old with Luke and rock in this rocking chair! After Luke proposed we slow danced, prayed, took some pictures, and grabbed some hot chocolate! Finally, we went back to my parents house where there was a surprise party with a few of Luke and I's closest friends! It was an amazing day and the perfect start to our next chapter.
