Absolutely, yes! Please read below: Everyone is welcome in the House of God! As many of you know, the Catholic Mass is centered around receiving the Eucharist, where Jesus and His Church become one, just as the bride and groom become one. According to the beliefs of the Catholic Church, those who are not Catholic or who are not actively practicing, are kindly asked to cross their arms over their heart when approaching the altar at the time of Communion. This gesture lets the priest know that you are refraining from receiving the Eucharist. This is not meant to exclude anyone, but rather to honor the reverence of the Sacrament and the teachings of the Church. We are so grateful to celebrate this sacred moment with all of you!
We kindly request formal attire, black-tie optional. For gentlemen, a suit or tuxedo with dress shoes is fitting. For ladies, an evening gown or a tea-length cocktail dress paired with heels or flats would be perfect. Bonus hugs from the bride if your dress includes a touch of pink! We can’t wait to see everyone looking their best!!
Fiancés and spouses are included as plus ones, and this will be reflected on your RSVP option through our website. As for children, we kindly ask that this be an adults-only event, with an exception for nursing mothers. We hope you can enjoy this as a special date night to celebrate your love along with ours!
Cheers to a lifetime of answering this question!! The English pronunciation is "smur-seck"!
