Lukas and Sophia both attended University of Indianapolis in 2021. They were pursuing Mechanical Engineering degrees, at the end of their first semester they were in a group of 20 to work on a final project. Eventually Lukas and Sophia were the only ones working together late into the night perfecting the project. One night, about 3 am, they finished working and Sophia asks, "Lukas what do you like to do for fun?" Lukas answered, "I love playing video games." Sophia excitedly responded, "Oh cool me too! Which ones are your favorite?" Lukas laughed and said, "I love playing Minecraft an-" "I love Minecraft! Would you like to play sometime?" That was the beginning of a wonderful friendship. Lukas and Sophia continued to play Minecraft together late into the night and eventually Sophia got the courage to ask Lukas if he would like to spend some time together and maybe go get some food. To Sophia's delight Lukas said yes and they picked a date. However Sophia was skeptical because she had a friend over and did not want to leave her alone while she went on a date. Sophia's friend assured her that it was okay and encouraged her to go on the date. When Lukas and Sophia met they were speechless and in awe of each other. They both hoped this friendship would turn into something greater. Soon after they began dating. They finished their school year and began to start a life together in Florida. It took a long year of work and dedication but they finally made it. When they got to Florida they could feel their love for each other flourish as Lukas got into a job he loves and found another job he could see himself doing for a lifetime. While Sophia was preparing for school to continue her degree. Then Lukas figured it would be time to pop the question, but how he asked himself. He spent months in preparation and dealt with loads of questions from Sophia's family and loved ones. He had figured out how and where he was going to do it but he had to find the perfect ring. Thank God his mother had a ring from Lukas' Great-Aunt it just had to be sized properly. "Yes!" Lukas thought, now he just has to find the right time. Lukas and Sophia had gone on vacation with Lukas' mother, father, brother and future sister-in-law. They went to Destin, Florida in a condo on the beach front. It was a beautiful sight and they fully enjoyed themselves. On the last night of their stay everyone went out on the beach. Lukas had brought his drone so his brother could use it on the beach (His brother always used his drone whenever they met so it wasn't unusual). Sophia had gotten stung by a bloom of jellyfish the day before, so when Lukas' mother, Lora said she could see some Sophia wanted to go see what the jellyfish looked like so she would be able to tell in the future. As Sophia was looking for the jellyfish Lukas grabbed her hand and started walking. Sophia didn't think anything of it because Lukas had expressed he wanted to walk on the beach for a few days. As they're walking Lukas is pointing out boats in the water asking Sophia, "Do you think that boat out there is a pontoon boat? I've always wanted a pontoon boat." Sophia responded, "It could be a pontoon. I know it isn't a jet ski because if it was then it would be a lot smaller, but it could be a fishing boat." Then Sophia asked, " Do you think we can see your family from here?" As she began to turn around to look Lukas, holding her hand, turned her around and got down on one knee. He pulled out the ring from his pocket and looked up to see Sophia completely surprised, a face he'll never forget and asked, "Sophia will you marry me?" Sophia almost toppled him over in excitement. Lukas got up and asked, "Is that a yes, because you didn't say anything," and laughed. Sophia charmed said, " Absolutely yes!" Sophia then realized she heard a drone. She turned around and there was Lukas' drone! His brother had gotten the whole thing on tape! They were both ecstatic to begin their life together!
