When moon finds a way

Have you ever felt just a little bit in love? Not the crashing, burning kind, they write about in songs, but the quiet, slow kind that sneaks into your heart when you're not looking. Our love story began like many others—with a friendship. Late-night calls, endless texts, and conversations about dreams and hopes. During that time, Luis gifted Molly a dog named Luna. We didn’t know it then, but that little four-legged friend would become the thread that tied us together. Despite having feelings for one another we soon realized it was bad timing. We needed to grow separately before we could find our way back. Luis left to continue his training at the firefighter academy. For a year, we lived separate lives each wondering if maybe, just maybe, our story wasn’t over. When Luis visited home a year later, he reached out to Molly, but by then she was hesitant and afraid to open her heart again. Each time he visited family, he called, hoping she’d agree to meet. Then one night, everything changed. Molly received a call from the animal shelter letting her know they had Luna. She had run away from the home she was staying at and since Luis had adopted Luna, they contacted him too. For the first time in a long time, Molly answered his call. That night they drove together to pick up Luna both unsure, both holding pieces of a love they thought they’d lost. And somehow, in that quiet reunion, everything shifted. Now, two dogs later, they share a home filled with laughter, healing, and love. They’re ready to marry, surrounded by the people who’ve watched their journey unfold. Because sometimes, love doesn’t come crashing in, it finds its way back through a runaway dog, a late-night phone call, and a heart that’s finally ready to say yes. We still don’t understand how Moon managed to travel over 100 miles—she was found nowhere near where she’d been staying. But somehow, our Moon found a way.
