We’ll have to take you back to when we first met in 2008. We were introduced to each other at our neighborhood park when we were just 11 years old by Luis’s sister, Alejandra. After a brief introduction, we went our separate ways and didn’t talk again for the next two years. During our 8th-grade year of middle school, we reconnected and quickly became best friends. We spent most of our time together walking home from school, talking at the park, or collecting enough money for a Taco Bell run. The summer before high school, we started dating—and we’ve been together ever since. Through high school, college, careers, and all the changes that come with growing up, we’ve always shown up for one another and faced everything together. In 2024, during a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Luis proposed to Erica on the beach. Nerves got the best of him, and instead of waiting for the proposal dinner he had planned for the following night, he proposed right then and there. Erica was completely caught off guard—in the best way—and, of course, said yes. Now, after more than a decade of growing side by side, we’re excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife and to celebrate with the people who have supported us along the way. Espanol Nos tenemos que regresar al 2008, cuando nos conocimos por primera vez. Luis y yo teníamos 11 años y nos presentaron en el parque de la comunidad gracias a su hermana, Alejandra. Fue un “hola, mucho gusto” y ya, cada quien siguió con su vida. No volvimos a hablar por casi dos años. En octavo de secundaria nos reencontramos y rápido nos hicimos mejores amigos. Siempre andábamos juntos: caminando a la casa después de la escuela, platicando en el parque o juntando dinero para ir a Taco Bell. El verano antes de entrar a la prepa nos hicimos novio y novia… y desde ahí seguimos juntos. Pasamos por la prepa, la universidad, nuestros trabajos y todos los cambios de crecer, siempre apoyándonos y echándole ganas juntos. En 2024, en un viaje a Cabo San Lucas, Luis le propuso a Erica en la playa. Se puso bien nervioso y, en vez de esperarse a la cena que tenía planeada para el día siguiente, se animó y lo hizo ahí mismo. Erica estaba mega sorprendida y claro que dijo que sí. Ahora, después de más de diez años creciendo uno al lado del otro, estamos bien emocionados de empezar esta nueva etapa como esposos y celebrarlo con toda la gente que ha estado con nosotros en el camino.
