There are many hotels like the Dann Carlton and we recommend finding the ones around Centro Comercial Buenavista, there is a Hilton, a Holiday Inn, and Movich among others.

If you are staying at an AirBnB or a boutique hotel, it may be worthwhile to know the names of the intersecting streets along with the neighborhood where the AirBnB is located (this will come in handy if your taxi driver isn’t too familiar with the name of the AirBnB).

Copa Airlines or United through Panama

Copa flies through Panama and has an option for a free stopover in that country if you wish to explore more of that area. From Panama to Barranquilla the flight is only 50 minutes!

Rental Car

Localiza Rent a Car - Barranquilla

If you plan to have your own car, street parking is not recommended, allocate extra money for formal parking. If you decide to visit Cartagena and see the old town, park outside the old town and walk the city freely. If you do rent a car, make sure you can speak some Spanish to communicate with the parking lot employees.
