Does Brazil require visa to enter the country?

Answer

Brazil recently announced that they will begin to require visas but the requirement is set to start in October of 2023. At this time there is no visa requirement for Americans to enter Brazil. Please continue to check the Brazilian Consulate website for updates prior to your schedule departure date!

COVID 19 restrictions to enter Brazil?

Answer

Currently, you need to show proof of vaccination or negative PCR within 1 day of flight. Because the requirements are always changing, please check requirements prior to your flight!

The only gift we want is you helping us celebrate our special day. Where should you fly from and into

Answer

If you are coming from the northeast, we have found that flying from Newark, DC or NYC is much cheaper. There are two airports in Rio either are fine to fly into. SDU is a smaller airport in the city of Rio and GIG is the international airport located just outside city.
