Where will the wedding be?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will take place outside, in the Henrique's backyard. Once you arrive, you'll see signage directing you to the backyard where the ceremony will take place. Dinner and dancing will be under a covered tent.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

After the ceremony ends, a cocktail hour will take place in the tent behind the ceremony. Enjoy cocktails, mocktails, and passed hors d'oeuvres!

Is there parking available near the Henriques' house?

Answer

The primary parking lot will be the new library at 207 Main St. Dighton, MA 02715. Additional parking is available at Lane Field at 142 Main Street in both the lots near and across from the baseball field.

What's the dress code for your wedding?

Semi-formal attire. Please note that the ceremony will take place outdoors.

What are the transportation options to get to/from the wedding?

Answer

For those arriving at Boston Logan International airport, there is commuter rail train service from South Station to Taunton and Fall River (both are ~15 minutes from Dighton, MA) or Providence. To do this, take the silver line from the airport to South Station and navigate to your appropriate commuter rail line. More info on the train here: https://www.mbta.com/schedules/commuter-rail

What's the best airport to use?

Answer

Boston Logan International Airport has direct flights from SFO, LAX and most major airports. It is approximately an hour from the Henriques' house. Providence T.F. Green International Airport, which is only 35 minutes away but has limited service beyond the East Coast.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We do not have a hotel room block but recommend guests stay in Providence, RI or Somerset, MA. The Fairfield Inn and Suites in Somerset is relatively new and is ~10 minutes from the Henrique's house. Providence is 35 minutes away and has a variety of hotels centered in the downtown area with ample tourism activities nearby.

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Answer

New England summers are warm during the day and cool at night, expect 75-85 degrees with mid-high humidity during the daytime of the wedding with it dropping to high 60s/low 70s at nighttime. Passing rain showers are also common this time of year.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home in California. Please see the registry tab for more information. A wedding card box will be at our reception.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

There will be passed hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a live station buffet with a choice of entree. The menu will include smoked brisket, chicken with a variety of sides. If you need a vegan/vegetarian entree, be sure to mark this on your RSVP form.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

Please let us know in the designated section of your digital RSVP of any major dietary restrictions and/or allergies. All passed hors d'oeuvres are gluten free, with one being vegan. All sides are vegetarian, with two being gluten and dairy free.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

You are welcomed to come to the Henriques' house at 4:00pm, which is a half-hour ahead of our ceremony start time of 4:30pm We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony space (located about a 2-minute walk from the parking lot) and find a seat.
