Aure was living in a home in Anaheim with friends. He had just moved in the month prior. That is where he met Jerry DeDios. Jerry, had started dating a coworker, who happen to be Luisa’s bestfriend, at the time. Luisa and her bestfriend were always going out together so Jerry decided to play Cupid! On August 10th, Luisa and her bestfriends had gone out to Downtown Fullerton to meet up with the bestfriend’s coworkers. Luisa had decided that night, she was no longer going to try and find a man and was just going to focus on herself and enjoy spending time with Ms Bonnie. But destiny had other plans.. as Luisa and her friends were crossing the street to go to another bar, they bumped into Aure and Ruby (another one of the housemates) who also happen to be bar hopping that night! They then invited Luisa and her friends to join them and go to Matador, which they then responded with "Sure, why not!". Once they arrived to Matador, they found out there was a cover charge, and although Aure wanted to offer to pay for Luisa, Luisa would never leave her friends, so the night ended there and they went their separate ways..so they thought.. Luisa and her best friends continued their night bar hopping with the coworkers. And this is when "Cupid" came in to play! Jerry invited Luisa and her bestfriend over to continue the night. But Jerry also shared with Luisa that his roommate told him he thought she was cute. While he also told Aure that Luisa told him that she thought he was cute. So with that liquid courage, Luisa started talking to Aure until she noticed the Angels blanket he had hanging in his room!! Full disclosure, his room faced the front of the house and so the sun would hit his room hard at the peak of the day, so he used this thick Mexican blanket with the Angels logo on it to cover the window to help keep the heat out. Due to that blanket, Luisa, would not kiss poor Aure until he admitted the Angels suck. Took a while, but here we are today and the rest is history!

Aure and Luisa hung out after that first night at the house Aure was living at anytime she and her friends would go over. But one day, Aure finally asked Luisa to go out on a date! She left all the planning up to him. He decided to take Luisa to RoundOne to play pool and to "impress her with his skills". And as they were walking into RoundOne from the car, he made a joke to Luisa that he had forgotten his wallet. Luisa was taken back but being the nice person she is, she told him she'd get the tab then *awkwardly of course*. Then he pulls his wallet out of his pocket and says just kidding! Once at the register and paying for the table, Aure pulled out his wallet to pay. . .he had forgotten his debit card at home! So Luisa did end up having to pay that night, and on top of that, he lost to her in pool that night as well. I'm sure if you ask him, he "let" her win that night but according to her, he lost fair and square at pool!, but she was the winner with him <3

Later that December, Aure was invited to a night at Disneyland to meet Luisa's family. He had worked that morning, but met up with her once he was off. They met up in front of the Disney Gate, and he told her he wanted to give her the Christmas gift he had bought her before going into the park. He had written her a long message in a card so at first, in her head she was like "uhhhh" but began reading...and reading...the card ended with "Will you be my girlfriend"? Luisa was so excited and of course said yes. That was the night he gifted her the rose gold Minnie Ears that you often see her wearing as it reminds her of that night. *Fun fact* Luisa saved and cherished that Christmas card, and then a few months later, Miss Bonniesaurus who was still a puppy at this time, had gotten a hold of it and chewed it up and shredded it to pieces. Oh, Bonnie..

To start off, Luisa and Aure are both terrible gift givers as they get really excited and always end up giving each other their gifts early. That year, Luisa had gotten Aure the newest X-Box and she was excited to see his reaction and asked him if it would be okay if she gave him his gift early, which of course he said "OKAY". After opening it, he got all excited and said "Well in that case, do you want your gift early too?" and Luisa said NO.........jk. So he told her to close her eyes and put her hand out, that is when he placed the ring box in her hand and her face blew up with excitement as she turned to look at him in shock- keep in mind that Luisa had been nagging him to propose for years already!! so she didn't see it coming- and he smiles and says, "Do you want to be 'Engaged'?". Luisa heard it..and paused then jumped up with joy to give him a kiss and said "Yes!! But we're doing this again..." As some of you know, we re-did the proposal in front of the castle with close friends and that's when Aure got on one knee and said, well, Luisa can't even remember what he said in that moment because of all the excitement and cheering, OH! and of course, the Magic of Disney came upon her! She said yes, again, but this time he got the question right and asked, "Will you marry me?". *Fun fact* we went on Star Tours prior to this happening just for fun, and after getting off the ride, Aure realized he had dropped his cast member ID card when on the ride. So although our friends were waiting for us in front of the castle to capture the moment and be present for it, we were at Star Tours searching under all the seats for his ID. That was definitely a downer and threw off the vibe. Luisa was getting worried he was going to change his mind and not want to propose in front of the castle anymore. But if you see the photos from the night, you can see the joy in his face after proposing, correctly that is.
