We have price alerts set and we are keeping an eye on different bloggers who post cheap flights like EscapeATX. Escape ATX is a blog that posts deals for affordable airfare. They have many affiliate websites for other cities such as Los Angeles, Dallas, etc. if you're coming from outside of Austin. Costco has a lot of travel packages including flight, hotel, and car rentals all bundled together. It's a good way to avoid the hassle of booking these things separately.
