Who knew two college kids could find love during a global pandemic? But hey — what else was there to do?Our story began five years ago, when Betsy and her soccer teammates moved into the townhouses and Alex decided to introduce himself to the girls next door. What started as a casual friendship quickly grew through euchre and movie nights, late-night Taco Bell runs, and the guys cheering on the soccer team at practices and games.As time went on, we realized we wanted something more. In February of 2021, Alex asked Betsy to be his girlfriend — and the rest is history. The next four years were full of change and growth: Alex began and completed medical school and started his residency in Royal Oak, MI, while Betsy became a NICU RN at the University of Michigan and began Nurse Practitioner school. Through it all, we stood by each other’s side — and we can’t wait to keep doing that for the next 50+ years.
